Mark Trumbo will look to continue his hot streak on Monday when he leads the Los Angeles Angels into their Freeway Series battle with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Trumbo belted a pair of homers and drove in a career-high six runs in the Angels’ 10-8 win over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. The Angels scored 28 runs en route to completing the three-game sweep.
The Angels, who have won nine straight on the road, will look to continue that momentum against the Dodgers. They have won nine of their last 12 versus their rivals – and 10 of 14 at Chavez Ravine. After a slow start, Mike Scioscia’s club sits three games in back of first-place Texas in the American League West. The Dodgers, who just took two of three from Seattle, own a five-game edge over San Francisco in the NL West.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Angels RH Garrett Richards (1-0, 1.13 ERA) vs. Dodgers LH Chris Capuano (8-2, 2.82 ERA)
Richards made the most of his first start this season. The 24-year-old started in place of injured Jered Weaver and permitted one run on four hits in seven innings in a 6-1 win over Seattle on Tuesday. Richards will be making his fifth career start and 10th appearance, but has yet to face the Dodgers in his young career.
Capuano recorded his third win in four starts after working just five innings against reeling Philadelphia on Wednesday. The 33-year-old overcame three homers to strike out five in a 6-5 win. Capuano dropped his lone career outing versus the Angels, allowing three runs on six hits while striking out five.
1. Angels veteran Torii Hunter has fared well versus Capuano, going 7-for-15 with a homer in his career.
2. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly expects third baseman Juan Uribe to rejoin the club Monday. Uribe has been sidelined with a left wrist injury.
3. Trumbo’s multi-homer game was his second in a week. He also had a pair of blasts in a 6-1 win over Seattle on Tuesday.
