Things are going from bad to worse for the Arizona Cardinals. According to reports starting quarterback Kevin Kolb has a mild foot sprain, along with the turf toe that recently showed up on the injury report.
According to sporting news Kolb is out of his walking boot but was not able to wear his football cleats or practice Wednesday. If Kolb can’t go it’ll be up to John Skelton to lead the Arizona offense. Kolb suffered the turf toe injury in the Cardinals 30-27 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last weekend.

Betting Analysis: Although there’s been no word on when and where Kolb suffered the foot sprain, obviously this isn’t good news considering his status was already in doubt for Week 9. The Bodog Sportrsbook still hasn’t listed the NFL odds for Arizona’s Week 9 bout with the St. Louis Rams, understandable considering the Cardinals offense will likely be dramatically worse without Kolb. Kolb hasn’t been the pro bowl QB the Cards expected by any means, but Skelton simply hasn’t shown the ability to be an NFL starter at this point.
Expect his status for Week 9 to hurt the Cardinals odds and have dramatic sway in the final total.
