And while Woods is back in the United States to compete this week at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, McIlroy is the 4/1 favorite to chalk up a victory at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
Lee Westwood of England, now ranked No. 3 in the world after being passed by McIlroy, is at 10/1 odds to win in Dubai, and world No. 4 Martin Kaymer of Germany – who finished T9 at Abu Dhabi – is the current second choice behind McIlroy at 8/1 odds.
Defending champion Alvaro Quiros of Spain is back at 22/1 odds to repeat his feat of a year ago, while Bjorn is at 28/1 odds and Rock is at 40/1 odds along with fellow countryman Simon Dyson, veteran Spaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez, and Matteo Manassero of Italy.
