The Chicago White Sox have enjoyed superb pitching as of late, which is an alarming sign for the light-hitting Oakland Athletics. After Jake Peavy tossed a three-hit complete-game gem in the series opener, the White Sox will look to keep the Athletics under their thumb on Tuesday.
Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko belted back-to-back homers in the fourth inning on Monday as visiting Chicago breezed to its fourth win in a row with a 4-0 triumph over Oakland. Alex Rios had as many hits as the Athletics in the victory.

PITCHING MATCHUP: White Sox RH Gavin Floyd (1-2, 4.58 ERA) vs. Athletics LH Tommy Milone (2-1, 2.84 ERA)
After sandwiching a pair of poor outings around a solid one, Floyd hopes to get back on track versus the Athletics. He allowed five runs for the second time this season in a 5-3 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday. Floyd owns a 3-1 career mark with 35 strikeouts in seven starts versus Oakland.
Milone rebounded from a difficult start to handcuff the Los Angeles Angels over five innings on Thursday. The 25-year-old southpaw yielded two runs on seven hits in five innings to pick up the victory. Milone has yet to face the White Sox during his short career.
1. Konerko, who has 399 career homers, has gone deep twice and has nine hits in his last six games.
2. Athletics outfielder Coco Crisp has fared well in his career versus Floyd, going 4-for-9 with a double. Kurt Suzuki, however, has just one hit in 10 career at-bats against the hurler.
3. Oakland third baseman Luke Hughes, who was acquired off waivers on Sunday, committed a pair of errors in his debut. His night didn’t get any better at the plate – he went 0-for-3.
