By Steve Davidowitz | Bob Baffert is in a Dubai hospital recovering from a heart attack. Two blocked arteries… Two stents inserted to open the blockage and permit normal blood flow…  The doctors have said a full recovery is expected. Dubai reportedly has excellent doctors and great facilities.

Dubai World Cup officials also said Monday that they expect Baffert to be at Meydan Racecourse for the World Cup races this weekend and is expected to remain in Dubai for a week to 10 days afterwards for observation and recovery.

Baffert, 59, was elected to the American Racing Hall of Fame in 2010 and is in Dubai to supervise the training of THE FACTOR for the 6 furlong $2 million Dubai Golden Shaheen and GAME ON DUDE in the $10 million Dubai World Cup on Mar 31.

Baffert also has BODEMEISTER, LIASON and SECRET CIRCLE among several prominent 3-year-olds on the Triple Crown chase who are scheduled to run in rich prep stakes in April for the $2 million Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 5, 2012.

Baffert has won three Derbys in his spectacular career with SILVER CHARM, REAL QUIET and WAR EMBLEM.
